We have a color scheme associated with navratri. Like red is for vigour, etc. Those 9 devis are considered epitome of some good values and potential. Some say it\’ has to do with metaphysical waves of different frequencies. So my point was why isn\’t black assigned to depict any of \’em. According to me, black doesn\’t depict emptiness or sorrow, it\’s rather more aligned to truth & completeness. Ig black is more intense coz it exists without light (not the fabric color the actual one). My analogy is that the cosmic vibrancy is to dissipate those emotions, although not aiming to be lack of emotions but to control them. In many other Hindu rituals, black is mostly avoided. So is it just a myth or there\’s some fundamental reason behind it?
